Eligibility Criteria for HPRCA English & Mathematics Teacher 2026

1. Educational Qualification

English Teacher (Post Code 26002)

• M.A. English with 50% marks in Graduation with B.Ed and teaching of English as compulsory subject in B.Ed (B.A B.Ed/B.Com B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed will be eligible).
• The applicant must have passed Graduation (including B.Ed) with a minimum of 50% marks and 55% marks in English at Graduation level.
• SC/ST/OBC candidates should have at least 45% marks in Graduation (and 45% marks in B.Ed) and 50% marks in English at Graduation level.

Mathematics Teacher (Post Code 26003)

• M.A/M.Sc. Mathematics with 50% marks in Graduation with B.Ed and teaching of Mathematics as compulsory subject in B.Ed (B.A-B.Ed/B.Com-B.Ed/B.Sc-B.Ed will be eligible).
• The applicant must have passed Graduation (including B.Ed) with a minimum of 50% marks and 55% marks in Mathematics at Graduation level.
• SC/ST/OBC candidates should have at least 45% marks in Graduation and 45% marks in B.Ed and 50% marks in Mathematics at Graduation level.

Age Limit

he age limit for HPRCA English and Mathematics Teacher Recruitment 2026 is:

• Minimum Age: 25 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Age Calculation Date: As on 21.02.2026 (closing date of ORA)
• Age Relaxation: There will be no age relaxation to any of the categories.

CANDIDATES WILL BE SELECTED BASED ON THE FOLLOWING PROCESS:

• Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Objective Screening Test of 120 marks of 1½ hours duration or as decided by HPRCA.
• Objective type screening test with 120 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each).
• Syllabus:
• Subject/field up to the level of prescribed essential qualifications.
• General Knowledge including Himachal Pradesh, Current Affairs, Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi (Matric level).

Application Fee for HPRCA English & Mathematics Teacher 2026

• Examination Fee: ₹100 for all categories.
• Processing Fee: ₹700 for all categories.
• Total Fee: ₹800 per application.
• Correction Fee: ₹100 (for corrections during the correction window).
• Payment Mode: Online Payment Gateway using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking (no other mode accepted).
